Questions

What the Record Does, and Refuses To.

  • What Counts as Being Ghosted?

An application where the company stopped responding and never gave an outcome. Twenty-one days have to pass in silence before it can be reported, and the clock runs from the last contact rather than the day you applied — so a company that invites you to interview on day 20 has not ghosted anyone.

  • Do I Need an Account to Check a Company?

No. Every rating is public and needs no account. Reporting an outcome needs one, because an outcome only counts toward a rating once the contributor has verified an email address.

  • What Does “Verified Candidate” Mean?

That the contributor confirmed an email address before their outcome could count. It is not a check that they applied to the company, and no proof of an application is asked for. What it stops is one person creating accounts in bulk to move a company's rating.

  • Can I Read What Other Candidates Wrote?

There is nothing to read. No free text about a company is ever published here — not from candidates, not moderated, not anonymised, not as an excerpt. A company page carries a count, a percentage and the months the sample covers, and nothing anyone wrote.

  • Why Do Some Companies Have No Percentage?

Below five outcomes we show the counts and withhold the percentage. “100% Ghosted” from two reports looks like a finding when it is really an unknown, and a rating is never shown without the number of outcomes behind it.

  • Can a Company Have a Rating Removed?

Outcomes that break the rules are removed. Outcomes a company simply dislikes are not, and individual reports are never discussed, because discussing one would expose the person who filed it. How the Record Is Kept.
